Away from our regular duties, we are also a preferred supplier to a number of rail operators whose trains travel through our area.

We are often the first port of call both for pre-planned engineering works, where the rail operators know in advance that the line will be closed or affected. We are also at the end of the phone when there are delays, overcrowding or other emergencies such as bad weather (or good weather!).

We’re already required to provide a vehicle that is wheelchair accessible, which is no problem for us as 90% of our fleet is just that. Through our latest investment in technology, all of our rail services now have full audio visual displays on board. The next stop on the route is displayed both via large LED screen and via an audio message, providing vital information to those customers who may be hard of hearing or partially sighted.
